One key responsibility you have as a business owner or team manager is to build your team - hiring the right people and setting them up for success is so important. 

But recruitment, selection and induction are tough. You need to be clear what you need and what you are offering in return, you have to market your company and your vacancy well, you have to take the right steps to assess whether someone will be good for your business. It takes time, energy and good decision making skills.

During this module, we’ll cover:

• Understanding your employer brand - who you are as a company, what you do and why you do it, how it feels to work for you, …
• Articulating that information to potential employees - online and offline
• Job descriptions - defining the work that needs to be done
• Job requirements - defining what skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours are essential for someone to be able to do the job
• Job adverts - copywriting and advertising channels
• Working with recruitment agencies
• Communicating with applicants and candidates throughout the selection process
• Shortlisting candidates for interview
• Planning and conducting interviews
• Making the selection decision
• Offering the job
• Onboarding, induction and probation

This module will be run on Tuesday 25 April 2023 from 09:30 to 16:30 at the Wades Centre in Princes Risborough. The cost will be £195 for the day, including lunch.

If you go on to book for the rest of the modules (there will be 10 in all) then the cost per module (including ones already attended) will be £150 per module.
