Whether you or your employees are heading back to work or remaining on furlough, learning new skills and keeping current skills sharp are essential to ensuring we build back better from these times.
Training and upskilling for those on furlough or back at work
The good news for those that want to keep their skills sharp is that there are plenty of opportunities to train and learn – often in the form of free webinars.
Furloughed workers are still able to attend training events and courses*, and these are a great way to upskill, keep motivated and be ready for action when businesses return to the ‘new normal’.
If you come out of lockdown having learnt something you wouldn’t have otherwise learnt, having utilised spare time that you previously didn’t have, you can look back on this time as it having yielded something positive and productive.
Free webinars to upskill business leaders and their workforce
To that end, Buckinghamshire Business First, our members and other organisations are hosting webinars to support businesses and their staff on a range of topics.

The Skills Toolkit - what will you learn?
The government has launched a new online learning platform with free courses covering digital and numeracy skills and topics like digital marketing, coding, social media, creating online content, PowerPoint, everyday maths, dealing with fraud, and more.
Free courses are available through an online platform called The Skills Toolkit, which gives people access to free digital and numeracy courses to help build up their skills, progress in work and boost their job prospects.
