We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Strategic Commissioning to lead our commissioning strategies and service innovations.
Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Lead Strategic Commissioning on behalf of Buckinghamshire Council and its system partners, including the BoB Integrated Care Board and NHS.
- Develop and implement commissioning strategies, improvement plans, and service innovations.
- Drive service improvement and transformation programmes.
- Manage strategic contract management and financial plans.
- Collaborate with various departments and external partners to deliver integrated health and social care services.
- Be accountable for the effective commissioning of services, ensuring tight financial control on commissioned spend.
Person Specification
Essential:
The successful candidate will have proven experience in strategic commissioning and procurement with strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team. You will also have:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A successful track record of leading and managing change in a complex multi-agency service organisation.
- Substantial experience of strategic service planning and delivery.
- Proven track record of effectively managing significant budgets and ensuring the delivery of services within agreed resources.
- Proven ability to identify standards and performance requirements for own and partner organisations and deliver effective performance management.
- A full driving licence is required to be able to carry out the role.
