Integrated Community Equipment Commissioning Manager

Join our team and lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of the ICES contract.

Responsibilities

The ICES Commissioning Manager will oversee the Social Care and Health provision, ensuring effective quality and performance management in line with Council contract management and performance frameworks. The role involves working with stakeholders and the provider to support strategic development and lead the recommissioning of the Community Equipment Service.

Working in an integrated way and across operational and organisational boundaries where required, the post holder will:

  • Lead the strategic commissioning of the ICES contract to agreed timescales and budget to ensure the provision of a high quality, effective and outcome focused service.
  • Manage the ICES contract on a day-to-day basis in line with Council and Directorate contract management and performance frameworks.
  • Act as Lead Officer for the management of the ICES Section 75 Agreement including fulfilling the role of pooled budget manager.
  • Ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner and robust financial processes and forecasting are in place to support reporting in line with Council and ICB requirements.
  • Work with the commissioned provider and prescribing organisations to ensure our community equipment service reflects statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Ensure potential risk relating to the ICES contract is identified, assessed, managed or escalated as appropriate.
  • Provide expert feedback on the ICES services, verbal and or written, to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Support an outcome focused and performance culture across the commissioned service and prescribing organisations.


Person Specification

Essential:

You will have experience in the following:

  • Substantial relevant experience in a senior role within the service area or related professional field.
  • Expert knowledge of community equipment services, models of service delivery, and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of performance management standards and requirements across different organisations.
  • Experience in developing commissioned services and strategies in response to corporate vision and objectives.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, engage effectively, and influence stakeholders in complex situations.
  • Experience in leading risk management and mitigation.
  • Experience in budget management and financial controls.
  • Relevant professional qualification.
