A charity working to support and represent people with mental health problems living across the county by providing high quality services.
We all have mental health and mental health problems are a part of life. Our services find positive ways to make people feel valued and live well. We support our service users to live safe, purposeful and fulfilled lives in their communities. We believe in their recovery and we are hopeful about their future.
We bring focused mental health expertise to our partnerships and the services we provide. We value working in partnership. In Buckinghamshire we know that bringing together different perspectives can help identify solutions to complex problems.
We support people in Buckinghamshire so they can be open about who they are, without worrying about discrimination, knowing they will be accepted.
Working with national Mind, we will not give up until everyone in the county with a mental health problem gets both support and respect.
As your expert mental health partner, we specialise in delivering professional training courses to support people to live well in their communities and thrive at work. We are able to offer our Training Services to public, private and voluntary sector organisations, and also to individuals who want to further their knowledge by attending one of our courses with other likeminded people.
Buckinghamshire Mind can provide bespoke training, workshops and presentations on topics such as Mental Health Awareness and Workplace Wellbeing, but can also provide tailored sessions designed to your requests. We aim to cover the issues most relevant to you, so please get in touch!
Buckinghamshire Mind also delivers two-day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses across Buckinghamshire. This course is accredited by MHFA England and qualifies delegates as a Mental Health First Aider.
The biggest cause of sickness absence in the UK is stress, anxiety and depression, with mental ill-health costing employers £34.9 billion each year. Improving the management of mental health in the workplace will allow employers to save 30% or more of these costs.
Buckinghamshire Mind's MHFA course will build employees’ confidence around mental health, stop preventable issues, encourage a faster recovery from long-term mental health problems and promote a mentally healthy working environment. . The course will empower delegates to identify, reach out to and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
Our instructors provide a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. No prior knowledge of mental health is necessary. To find out more, please visit www.bucksmind.org.uk/services/training-services/mhfa
