We will work with construction companies, mainly tier 1 & 2 contractors to recruit apprentices for the individual site requirements allowing them to meet apprenticeship targets set by Frameworks or 106 agreements. Most apprenticeships are now 2.5 to 3 years long and some projects are much shorter than this so we employ the apprentices for the full duration of their apprenticeship and work with the contractor/s to place them on site to gain their practical experience to meet the qualification needs.

CoTrain will organise the College/Training Provider and monitor the apprentices progress with reports and meetings with the College and site visits and will share this progress with all stakeholders so that the apprenticeship progresses and the training in meaningful and provides a good learning journey for everyone.

If a project finishes before the end of the apprenticeship and the contractor has no further work for the individual apprentice then we place them with another contractor working in the area so that they continue with their training . This is where the "Share" part of of business takes place as the apprentice may work with 2 or 3 different contractors during their apprenticeship, 

We offer support for all stakeholders and work with the apprentice to help them find full time employment within the construction industry at the end of their apprenticeship. 95% of our apprentices successfully complete their apprenticeship and stay within the construction industry with 90% of them continuing with their training and qualifications up to degree level.

We have recently diversified and have hired a Property Management Apprentice for a  Housing Society  and for some larger sites we have hired Business Administration Apprentices for Document control purposes.

SECBE/CoTrain is a non for profit company and we can help with Social Value targets.

SECBE also can help large sites and local authorities by providing training and support for our Construction Logistics and Community Safety programme which seeks to improve road and site safety by making Construction Traffic safer .
