The SECRC is a Police lead initiative seeking to raise awareness of cyber security risks to businesses and wider organisations
The South East Cyber Resilience Centre forms part of a wider Police lead initiative supported by the Home Office and National Police Chiefs Council to raise awareness of cyber security risks to businesses and wider organisations across the region.
The SECRC is established as a private, not for profit Limited Company lead by seconded Police Officers acting as the Centre's Director and Head of Cyber & Innovation. Commercial revenue of the Centre will be generated through a mix of corporate sponsorship, together with paid membership options as well as the provision of low cost cyber security consultancy services delivered in partnership with a number of local partnered Universities
Further funding is provided through a commercial arm providing a raft of cyber security services as well as a trusted partners scheme (in partnership with national accreditation body IASME) to promote and deliver Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials plus.
