"Nothing to lose" by entering Buckinghamshire Business Awards

The Buckinghamshire Business Awards are open for entries!

Who better to explain what the awards are all about than someone who knows what it takes to win them, and who is also the co-founder of this year's Headline Sponsor, Origin Doors and Windows, who were named Company of the Year and Growth Business of the Year at the Buckinghamshire Business Awards 2022.

Over to Victoria Brocklesby:

"I'm really looking forward to this year's awards and a great celebration of all that's good about Buckinghamshire.

“As a proud Buckinghamshire business, it really doesn’t get much better than being named Company of the Year for the whole county. After all, there are over 30,000 businesses spread across Buckinghamshire.

“We also feel immense pride this year as Origin Doors and Windows is the official Headline Sponsor of the Buckinghamshire Business Awards. It feels like the logical next step of the journey that we’ve been on since 2002 when my cousin, Neil Ginger, and I founded Origin. From our HQ in High Wycombe, we employ over 350 people, have expanded to the US and Dubai, and last year manufactured our one millionth product. At the heart of it all, we’ve always been a family business that retains our core values.

“We don’t do what we do in order to win awards, but let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to win a shiny trophy that celebrates their achievements? Winning meant a lot to us and our whole team, so perhaps think about what it would mean to you and your team if you were successful at this year’s awards. Being at the glitzy ceremony also gives you the chance to celebrate with the wider Buckinghamshire business community. It’s a night where you truly feel part of something bigger.

“Just submitting an entry is time well spent as the process makes you think about the finer details of your business that perhaps you’ve overlooked. And it can help you prepare to enter other awards, like the King’s Awards for Enterprise, which we were delighted to win in its previous incarnation of the Queen’s Awards. If it hadn't been for the Buckinghamshire Business Awards, we wouldn't have had the confidence to enter the Queen's Awards.

“Take it from someone who knows; you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by entering the Buckinghamshire Business Awards. Perhaps I’ll see you at the ceremony later this year when you’re holding your shiny trophy!”

Categories, deadlines, Entry Guides, Entry Workshops

Entries for the awards close on Monday 2nd June.

We are hosting two Entry Workshops before then to help you craft the best possible entry. You'll hear from former winners about what winning has meant to them, and this year's judges on what they want to see in your entry. Book your place at one of the below workshops:

Entries are submitted online. Businesses can enter up to two categories. Before you enter, you can read the official Entry Guide and the Category Guide to make sure you're eligible for your preferred categories and to see what questions you will need to answer.
