The Buckinghamshire Business Awards are an opportunity for local businesses to show that they are leaders in their field who excel through hard work and entrepreneurial vision. Each winner and finalist embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship that makes Buckinghamshire renowned for success. Together, they all show that nobody does business like Buckinghamshire. Entries for the 2022 Buckinghamshire Business Awards are open from March 2022 and winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in September 2022

All entries must be made online using our new online entry system.
The awards are free to enter.
Any registered private sector organisation or company of any size located within Buckinghamshire which has been trading for at least 12 months is eligible to enter the awards. If your organisation is part of a larger business or a franchise, your organisation must function as a separate business unit in the county of Buckinghamshire.
All entries are confidential and will only be viewed by the judges and Buckinghamshire Business First. All judges sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to judging and any paper copies of entry information will be confidentially destroyed after the awards ceremony.

We are delighted to confirm that we will be holding an in-person Awards Ceremony in September 2022 at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. Finalists will receive one complimentary ticket to attend the ceremony and can purchase additional tickets to make it a night to remember for their whole company. Winners in all categories will be announced at the ceremony where they will receive a bespoke trophy and certificate.
Tickets to the ceremony will go on sale from Thursday 28th July 2022. Finalists will receive one complimentary ticket for each category in which they are a selected as a finalist. Further tickets can be purchased.
There are 11 categories to enter and a business can enter up to two categories. The prestigious Company of the Year will be awarded to a company chosen from all of the finalists across all of the awards.
This award is open to all employers who have employed or provided work experience for a young person under the age of 24 (at the time of recruitment) since January 2020 which has involved training.
This award is open to businesses that have put carbon saving at the heart of their business planning and can demonstrate the measures that have been implemented along with significant carbon savings achieved.
This award recognises those businesses which have a strong track record of playing a responsible part in society and giving back to it through fundraising, active support from company employees in providing opportunities for worthy causes, for which there is no direct financial benefit to the company.
This award seeks to recognise excellence in customer service and is looking for a business which can:
• Demonstrate that customer service is treated as a priority
• Show that the company has a positive customer service culture
• Demonstrate how customer service has improved over the past 12 months
This Award is open to any business within the county who has grown or experienced significant growth since January 2020. The definition of a scale up this year refers to a business which can show demonstrable growth with the potential and ambition to continue that trajectory.
This award is open to businesses that can demonstrate an innovative or inventive approach to new services, products or processes since January 2020.
This category is open to any business which started trading after 1st January 2020. The business cannot be an expansion of an existing business, simply undergone a name change, or be operating from a new location
The Enterprising business category is open to any business who has a turnover of less than £7.5 million.
Applicants for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category must be aged 30 or under on 31st July 2022 and have demonstrated a high degree of entrepreneurship, creativity and vision for the future.
This category is open to any businesses from within the tourism, hospitality or leisure sectors within Buckinghamshire who can demonstrate that they stand head and shoulders above their competitors.
This award is about finding the most successful and innovative creative business in Buckinghamshire. The types of businesses who are eligible to enter this category are those whose main business is involved with: Advertising, Architecture, Art & Antiques Market, Crafts, Design, Designer Fashion, Film & Video, Interactive Leisure Software, Music, Performing Arts, Publishing, Software & Computer Services, Television & Radio.
