Education & Training Provider Forum

The Buckinghamshire Education & Training Provider Forum is a dedicated space for Buckinghamshire-based skills education and training organisations to collaborate, share insights, and shape the future of skills development in the county.

What is the Provider Forum?

The Provider Forum brings together decision-makers from local education and training providers to support the implementation of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). It’s a platform for networking, brainstorming, debating, and co-creating solutions to the skills challenges for Buckinghamshire identified in the LSIP.

What is the LSIP?

Buckinghamshire Business First (BBF) has been appointed by the Department for Education as the Employer Representative Body (ERB) for Buckinghamshire. As part of this role, BBF leads the development and delivery of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP)—a government initiative to reshape post-16 education and training across England.

The LSIP aims to ensure that the technical skills system is more responsive to the needs of employers and better aligned with local economic priorities.

Why Get Involved?

By getting involved in the Provider Forum, you’ll:

  • Contribute to shaping the county’s skills strategy.
  • Collaborate with peers to address shared challenges.
  • Stay informed on LSIP progress and funding opportunities.
  • Help implement practical solutions that benefit learners and employers alike.

Who Can Take Part?
