We know that not every business has a website, we often hear from businesses who rely on word of mouth for most of their business, or have no need to take card payments, or often from those who don’t have the time to set one up and maintain it.

But often, customers will want to see that extra stamp of approval that having a website offers. In a world that has increasingly moved online, a business without any online presence in 2016 is in danger of losing credibility.

Consumer research has shown that buyers look to the Internet more than ever to find small local business and sole traders. 

• 73% say it’s very important that they are able to find a company online if they are going to give it their custom.
• 57% agree that if they can’t find any evidence of a business online they are reluctant to give it any business at all.
• 39% have brought goods and services outside of their local areas because they can’t find local companies on the Internet.

Once you’re logged in, go to the ‘My Account’ page (also at the top of the screen) and from there you can edit the details on your business profile.
