Active Mindfulness provides workshops blending psychology, meditation and movement, delivered online and in local cafes.
Active Mindfulness was founded by Dr Gemma Applegarth, a psychologist, mindfulness teacher and recreational runner. Active Mindfulness provides workshops and course which blend evidenced based psychology, the power of meditation and the joy of moving our physical bodies to support people towards their purpose and potential. At the heart of everything we do is the belief that we can bring mind and body back together for greater wellbeing.
We partner with local cafes and community venues to provide both online and face to face experiences. This provides a collaborative benefit allowing the cafe to reach new customers and build a community.
Our courses offer 3 main themes
- Mindfulness for sports performance, enhancement & enjoyment. Aimed at those who like to move. From those of us who want to enjoy the walk around the park to improving athletes performances.
- Exercise haters to takers. Aimed at those who recognise that they would like to get moving more but historically have always found it a struggle. Perhaps your relationship to exercise has always been difficult or your body lets you down.
- Wellbeing for life. Aimed at providing all the skills and tools you were never taught, Based on a mix of mindfulness, science and psychology these courses will equip you with all you need to move confidently through life.
