The Town Hall has been at the heart of Chesham's community life since it first opened in 1998. Hundreds of people come through our doors every week to attend classes, talks, events and parties. Located in the heart of the town centre, the Town Hall overlooks Lowndes Park and is a well-appointed, two-storey building with excellent accessibility, including a lift to the first floor, disabled toilets on both floors and a baby changing facility. We are a couple of minutes walking distance to Chesham, metropolitan line.
The Town Hall accommodates the main Council offices as well as providing fully equipped function rooms, including wi-fi access, for meetings, conferences and training courses, private and social functions. The Town Hall is very popular for private and social functions, including birthday parties and wedding & funeral receptions.

The Lowndes Room
Located on the First Floor, the Lowndes Room is a very versatile space of 61m2. It can accommodate 50 people theatre-style and 25 people boardroom style and boasts a wonderful view of Lowndes Park.
There is an en-suite kitchen, with kettle, fridge and microwave; ideal for arranging light refreshments.
The room is ideal for small parties, boardroom conferences, small exhibitions, social events, children's groups and educational classes.
The Council Chamber
Located on the First Floor, the spacious Council Chamber (135m2) can seat a maximum of 100 people theatre-style and 30 boardroom-style.
The adjoining kitchen, with fridge, kettle, urn and microwave, is available for your use for preparing light refreshments.
The Chamber is suitable for conferences, meetings, training days, exhibitions, AGMs, seminars and educational classes. With its views over Lowndes Park, it is a lovely venue for a variety of events.
The Community Hall
Located on the Ground Floor, the Community Hall is 128m2 and can accommodate 90 people seated theatre-style or 80 for seated receptions. The Hall benefits from an adjoining kitchen (with serving hatch) that was fully refurbished in 2013 and contains a range cooker, dishwasher, microwave, tea urn and fridge.
The Community Hall is an ideal venue for parties, including birthday parties with entertainers or a small bouncy castle, performances, exhibitions, training days, social events, quiz nights, dance classes and conferences.

The Town Hall can be accessed by car from Catlings Car Park, or on foot from the High Street through Baines Walk.Download a map of the location (PDF, 655 KB).
Car Parking
The Town Hall is surrounded by Catlings Car Park, a short-stay, pay and display car park (maximum stay 4 hours) operated by Buckinghamshire Council. The car park can accommodate 59 vehicles and includes disabled bays. Parking costs 10p per 10 minute increments up to the first hour, with increments of 70p per hour thereafter. Parking is FREE after 4pm and free on Sundays. Please contact Buckinghamshire Council for more information.
