A bit about us
In 2010, the connection with a young man, aged 18, with a catastrophic brain injury, ignited a spark to change how music therapy was offered in the UK, and so began the story of Chiltern Music Therapy.By making it more accessible and financially inclusive, Chiltern’s team of 50 Music Therapists and Community Musicians now sees over 2500 infants, children and adults, alongside teams and in settings across health, education, social care. Importantly for our values and inclusivity, we continue to provide sessions to those at home, both in person and digitally. With a decade of experience in Neurologic Music Therapy and Neonatal Intensive Care Music Therapy, we continue to broaden the boundaries of how and where Music Therapy can be offered. We promise to share our exciting journey with our supporters, alongside the ever-evolving, and fascinating science behind the power of music and how it can help individuals of all ages.We are proud to be a self-managed and employee-owned social enterprise. We strive to create a world where music therapy is the transformative thread in the lives of the people we see, bringing their stories and their voices to the forefront of our work and evolution.
