Chiltern Rangers is a social enterprise, based in High Wycombe and working throughout South Bucks, Wycombe and Chiltern Districts.
Our mission is to enhance Chilterns habitats through conservation, education and community engagement. We do this by helping people to work together outdoors on a range of sites within the Chilterns to restore habitats and improve the biodiversity of the area. We involve a wide range of people in this work including those with mental health problems and a range of disabilities and learning difficulties. Our corporate 'Be a Ranger for a day' team building sessions are very successful and help businesses contribute towards their Corporate social responsibility policy. We endeavour to make each experience enjoyable for participants as we believe that having fun whilst being active outdoors is a great factor in increasing our health and well-being.
Participants really felt like they were adding value and were able to work as a team outside their normal working environment.
Great day as always, The Chiltern Rangers team make the day fun and enjoyable.
A big well done to Chiltern Rangers for winning the Enterprising Charity of the Year award 2016. I often see the team working hard when I’m out walking the dogs or riding my mountain bike locally. They’re a great organisation that do a fantastic job of bringing people and nature together in a fun way that benefits the community and allows us all to enjoy our local outdoor spaces a little easier.
Thank you for the fantastic opportunity to help do something different. Best part of the 'Be a Ranger for a day' session was working with colleagues in a non work situation.
