Our job is to help SMEs find the right debt finance option for their business. There are several hundred lenders out there ranging from High Street banks with strict criteria, Challenger banks who are are more flexible, private funders who have specific rules around who and how they fund, fintech lenders who base decisions mainly on algorithms, regional funds who support businesses local to them and so on. Our job is to listen to what a business needs funds for, ask relevant questions to determine what the best solution may be and then connect them with the right finder for what they need. If we do our job right then we should save the business time as well as allow the business owner to be comfortable they have the best option give their requirements and circumstances.
