Discover Bucks Museum (previously Bucks County Museum) tells the story of Buckinghamshire’s people and landscapes, from prehistoric times through to the present day. We care for 130,000 items in collections built up over 150 years, showcasing the best of the county’s heritage: archaeology, social history, natural history, geology and art.

We are also home to the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery, an interactive museum using characters and themes from Dahl’s books to stimulate interest in science, history and literature.

Learning and community are integral to our mission; we deliver thriving schools programmes, lectures and interactive events including history and craft workshops, replica archaeological digs, storytelling and puppetry, historical re-enactments, skills development, and work experience programmes.

But most of all, we encourage visitors to join us on journeys of discovery. We inspire our community, creating conversations and connections to the place where we live.
