Kim Hallett Consulting is led by Kim Hallett who has over 20 years’ experience in the Tourism industry as Head of Sales and Marketing at Waddesdon Manor from 2000 - 2015 and subsequently Head of Travel Trade, Tourism & Filming until December 2020.
She developed the marketing strategy to drive the growth in visitors from 165,000 to over 390,000, finding new audiences and working within the UK and globally to progress the visitor attraction, private entertaining and hotel offer to capture new markets and increase its share of this fiercely competitive and dynamic market. Fluent in German and very knowledgeable in the European, North American and Chinese inbound travel markets to the UK, Kim has worked across the FIT and group markets, MICE and Private Events. She launched Waddesdon into the Chinese tourism & hospitality industry in 2010 and oversaw an exponential growth in spend across the organisation from this market alone.
As Head of Filming, Kim re positioned and promoted Waddesdon as a premier location for filming and photographic shoots, to location managers, producers and art directors. Income from location fees tripled in the last three years with productions such as The Crown, Rebecca, Black Earth Rising and McMafia selecting Waddesdon as the backdrop for their productions.
Kim also chairs the Bucks Tourism Strategy Group supporting their work in bringing hotels, attractions and destinations together to encourage more tourism investment to the region to help grow the visitor economy and find funding for growth.
