As an experienced doctor in the field of geriatric medicine with a master's degree in medical law, Dr. Pather conducts private mental capacity assessments of older people for the purposes of deputyship applications to the Court of Protection (COP 3 assessments), making a lasting power of attorney and making a will (testamentary capacity). The assessments are completed in the individual's own home (including care homes) and the relevant form is completed / report produced. Mental capacity assessments are also undertaken for advance directives (living wills) for which there is also a virtual consulting service.
