An independent group of Educational Psychologists, supporting children and young people (0-25) who may be struggling with their learning.
Educational Psychology is the branch of psychology that looks at how people learn. Children and young people with Special Education Needs are usually supported by an Educational Psychologist provided by their Local Authority. But educational psychologists can support many other children / young people who may be struggling at school. There are many different reasons why someone may be struggling with their education e.g. dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Aspergers Syndrome, behaviour, social and emotional development, anxiety, communication difficulties etc. Educational Psychologists may perform assessments to clarify the problem, recommend interventions to support the child / young person, and work with the school / family to put in place strategies to support the child / young person.
Please call if you have concerns and would like to speak to an educational psychologist. The first discussion is free, and the psychologist can advise on a course of action.
