Thames Valley Air Ambulance (TVAA) has evolved into one of the UK’s leading air ambulance charities and is pushing the boundaries of medical intervention, helicopter aviation and on-scene patient care to deliver a unique life-saving service to patients, where and when it is most needed.

Our doctor and paramedic crews are able to deliver an advanced level of critical care to stabilise patients, identify their medical needs and get them to the most appropriate hospital for specialist care in the shortest time possible.

We take advanced medical care to a patient, saving time when minutes matter. This means that a patient is diagnosed, treated and given hospital-level medication more quickly, increasing the chance of survival. 

TVAA was the first air ambulance in the UK to carry a hospital standard blood analysis machine which is vital for speeding up diagnosis.

The service operates in, and is supported by, the communities of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. It is thanks to the generosity of people in our community that TVAA can continue to be at the frontline of saving lives.
