Working with employers and organisations across the region to support skills development, talent, innovation and growth.
The University of Buckingham is proud to be part of the Buckinghamshire Business First business community, working with employers and organisations across the region to support skills development, talent, innovation and growth.
There are a range of ways businesses can engage and work with the University:
Apprenticeships and workforce development
Our growing portfolio of Apprenticeship programmes provides employers with an effective way to develop existing employees, recruit new talent and build the skills their organisation needs for the future.
We work closely with employers to understand their workforce development needs and offer programmes across a growing range of professional and specialist areas. Government funding is available towards apprenticeship training and assessment, subject to eligibility, making apprenticeships accessible to employers of all sizes.
We also offer wider professional development opportunities and short courses to support organisations looking to develop the skills and capabilities of their workforce.
Access student and graduate talent
Through our Careers & Employability team, employers can connect with University of Buckingham students and graduates, promote vacancies and opportunities, and build their profile with emerging talent.
Businesses can also engage with students through Micro-Internships and work experience opportunities, providing valuable experience for students while giving employers access to fresh thinking and additional resource for projects and business challenges.
Connect, collaborate and network
We regularly bring together employers, academics, students and our wider community through business networking events, workshops, webinars and other activities.
We welcome opportunities to build new relationships with businesses and explore how the University, our academic expertise and our students can support organisations across Buckinghamshire and beyond.
Meetings, conferences and events
Businesses can also make use of a range of meeting, event and hot-desking facilities at the University. Our Buckingham campus offers flexible spaces suitable for meetings, conferences, training, workshops, hot-desking and larger events, with facilities including seminar rooms, lecture theatres, flexible workspace and hospitality options.
Whether you need a professional space to meet, work, collaborate or host an event, the University provides a welcoming environment in the heart of Buckingham.
