The Buckinghamshire Business Barometer is a survey that tracks local business confidence and performance, and gauges views on topical issues.
With each survey, run by Buckinghamshire Business First and Buckinghamshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), our aim is to establish how businesses have fared in the proceeding few months to help build a picture of the needs and opportunities that exist in the Buckinghamshire business community.
This valuable insight into the local economy is fed into our conversations with government and other stakeholders to ensure the voice of Buckinghamshire firms is being heard nationally.
What did businesses say in the latest survey?
The latest survey was all about Q4 2023, with businesses asked about their:
- Current trading situation (including sales, costs, turnover, workforce)
- Main challenges for the year ahead
- Barriers to growth
- Imports and exports
- Views on how the government's Autumn Statement will impact their business
