Calling all tradespeople - big opportunities as Bucks Council launches grant

A Bucks Council grant can help households implement energy efficiency measures, presenting big opportunities for businesses and contractors.

Buckinghamshire Council has re-launched the Domestic Building Envelope Energy Efficiency (DBEEE) Grant following a very successful first round.

This presents a great opportunity for local businesses who carry out work that is eligible under the scheme.

The DBEEE Grant will provide up to £32,000 per eligible household for residents to install the following energy efficiency measures at their property:

  • Roof insulation
  • Cavity wall insulation
  • External wall insulation
  • Loft insulation
  • Other works where exceptional circumstances apply

Contractors

The contractor(s) must be a TrustMark Registered Business and must adhere to the most recent version of PAS2030 standards.

The selection of an eligible contractor will be the responsibility of the grant applicant. The Council will make no recommendation of a particular contractor to undertake the relevant works, has no obligation to monitor or manage the chosen contractor carrying out of those works, and has no liability to the applicant in relation to that contractor’s non or poor performance in respect of those works.

To qualify for the grant, the grant applicant must own and live in the property (as their only or main residence) in which works funded by the grant will occur.

The grant applicant must also meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • A member of the household is in receipt of means tested benefits such as Universal Credit and Council Tax Support
