Free training for staff with low levels of numeracy, literacy or digital skills

New support is available to help all adults in Buckinghamshire improve their numeracy, literacy and digital skills – and employers can benefit by getting their staff involved.

If you have staff who do not have a Level 2 maths qualification (including GCSE Maths grade C/grade 4 or above, or CSE grade 1 or equivalent), we want to hear from you to understand how this support can best be tailored to your business and employees.

How this can impact businesses

Do problems with low levels of numeracy, literacy or digital skills among your employees affect your business?

This could be:

  • Underperformance
  • Lost time
  • Decreased profits
  • Difficulties recruiting and retaining staff
  • Stalled career progression

Free training for staff

If you have staff who do not have a Level 2 maths qualification, they will be able to access free training that fits around their lives.

This is through the new “Multiply” programme which offers numeracy skills training, while additional opportunities are available for literacy and digital skills training.

The better skilled your employees are, the better your business will perform – so you have every incentive to join this programme!

How do you join?

Simply fill in a quick form here and let us know if you have staff (over 19) who do not have a Level 2 maths qualification (GCSE Maths grade C/grade 4 or above, CSE grade 1 or equivalent).

We will then work with you to deliver bespoke training for your workforce – at no cost to you.

The training is fully funded and is likely to begin in early 2023. The free training will be tailored to fit around people’s lives – whether this is in person or online, at work or in the evening, part-time or intensive.

By filling in this form, you will help us ensure the support is tailored to your business and employees.

We will use the information gathered to ensure that Multiply and other support programmes work for local residents and employers. Learn more about Multiply here.
