Great opportunity for construction businesses

Skills Bootcamps are a great way for businesses to boost their workforce and productivity - and thanks to Buckinghamshire College Group, construction businesses now have the chance to get involved in some upcoming bootcamps.

What are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are primarily aimed at delivering flexible training at levels 2-5 in courses that run no longer than 16 weeks. They help people develop a new skill or enhance their current skills to progress in their career, and can help those not currently in work to gain knowledge and experience in a short period of time.

Run by Buckinghamshire College Group, they are co-designed with employers to respond to their skills shortages. They are flexible, so learning can fit around people's family and other commitments.

What are the benefits for employers?

For employers, there are some great benefits of a Skills Bootcamp for your organisation:

  • You can train existing employees through a bootcamp
  • Develop a loyal and talented workforce with the skills you need quickly
  • Futureproof your business in a rapidly changing labour market
  • Improve productivity thanks to motivated learners who can bring in fresh ideas and perspectives
  • There is no cost to your business to recruit individuals who have completed Skills Bootcamps
  • Reduce costs associated with traditional recruitment processes
  • Recruit staff with the right training and skills
  • Get access to a pipeline of skilled adults by working with Buckinghamshire College (Skills Bootcamp Provider) to source the ideal candidates to fill your business skills gaps
  • Skills Bootcamps can lead to accelerated apprenticeships because it is considered prior learning. This can reduce the time needed to complete an apprenticeship programme and can save your business time and costs.
