The Proud of Bucks Awards celebrate Buckinghamshire’s communities that have demonstrated care, creativity and commitment towards their local areas.
Do you know someone who deserves an award?
The awards recognise and applaud outstanding community contributions carried out by local volunteers.
Whether you’re an organisation that relies on volunteers, or your employees are supporting their local community outside of work, a Proud of Bucks nomination is a great way to celebrate their hard work.
Each of Buckinghamshire's 16 Community Boards are accepting nominations for people who have made a positive impact in their local area, with three awards up for grabs:
- The Good Neighbour Award - For an adult over 21 who has made a difference in their local community (e.g. through neighbourhood schemes, supporting voluntary causes, befriending services).
- The Young Champion Award - For a person under 21 who has made a significant contribution towards their local community (e.g. through volunteering, supporting a charitable cause, championing their peers).
- The Outstanding Group Award - Recognising and celebrating a voluntary group in the local area who has made a positive impact on their community (e.g. through delivering a service, championing a cohort of residents, supporting and enhancing local spaces).
