What do the Buckinghamshire Business Awards mean to Chandler Garvey?
"Chandler Garvey has been a proud sponsor of the Buckinghamshire Business Awards since inception, and given our high profile within the county's business community we feel it is important to support these awards that showcase the many excellent businesses that collectively make Buckinghamshire such a business powerhouse.
"There are so many inspirational businesses that have achieved so much, even in these challenging times. It is always very exciting at the start of the awards cycle, anticipating the entries and stories of achievement. In our eyes, every business that enters is a winner, happy to share their story, and the journey this puts them on can be incredibly rewarding as it offers a chance for reflection on the drive and ambition of the organisation."
What impressed and inspired you most about last year’s winners, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, and the runners-up, All Spring Media and Friars Square Shopping Centre?
"What really impressed and inspired us about last year's winners, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, and the runners-up, All Spring Media and Friars Square Shopping Centre, was their incredible dedication to organising and participating in local events for the community. Their dedication to raising funds for both local and national charities really stood out.
"And the best part? Everyone, from top to bottom, was onboard. It's clear they've fostered a company-wide culture of support, fundraising and giving back to the community. That's exactly what our Community Champions Award celebrates - making a difference where it counts."
You are also an Ambassador member of Buckinghamshire Business First. Does this, and your awards sponsorship, make you feel more closely connected to the local business community?
"Absolutely! Being an Ambassador member of Buckinghamshire Business First and sponsoring the awards not only strengthens our ties to the local business community but also deepens our sense of connection and commitment to its prosperity.
"It's about more than just participation; it's about actively investing in the success and growth of the businesses in our region. These roles allow us to engage directly with fellow entrepreneurs, share insights, and collaborate on initiatives that benefit everyone involved. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of such a vibrant and supportive business ecosystem."
What would you say to anyone that is thinking of entering the Community Champions Award? (N.B. This article was published before the entry deadline, which has now passed)
"Champions come in all shapes and sizes – big and small. This award gives every business the opportunity to share what they do to support their community and celebrate a philanthropic approach that makes a real difference to the lives of others.
"We are very lucky that we have such a generous business community. By showing others what you do, you can really inspire more businesses to make their own difference."
