The Help to Grow: Management Course is a 12-week programme designed and delivered by industry experts. It offers practical, actionable insights to help you develop your leadership skills, lead with confidence, and drive meaningful change in your business. 

Whether you're looking to sharpen your strategy, improve operations, or build a stronger team, this course is your opportunity to invest in your leadership and unlock growth. 

It consists of 12 modules, 10 hours of 1-2-1 mentoring, and peer network sessions. Designed to be completed alongside full-time work, the course is delivered in 50 hours spread across 12 weeks.

What’s in it for your business?

The course is designed to help small business leaders increase revenue, reduce operating costs, and better engage employees. Evidence shows improving and developing effective management practices can result in a productivity boost of up to 10% for your business.

The course consists of four parts:

• Part 1 – Strategies for Growth & Innovation 
• Part 2 – Engaging with Customers 
• Part 3 – Building a Sustainable and Agile Business 
• Part 4 – Operations and Financial Strategies 

You will work with your mentor to complete a unique Growth Action Plan for your business.

• Online and case study workshops  
• 1-2-1 mentor support – you will be matched with a mentor to help you apply what you learn 
• Peer learning and networking – you will connect with other small business leaders through the group - delegates are often surprised how beneficial this sharing and learning is!

The programme is structured to allow you to continue to run your business working alongside the course  

Who is it for?

The course if for business owners, leaders or senior managers from all sectors. Your business must employ between 5 and 249 people, and have been operational for at least a year. If your business employs more than 10 people, you can enrol two participants on the course. 

Who delivers the course?

Help to Grow: Management is available at locally accredited business schools in nearby universities, with cohorts starting throughout the year.  

With 90% funded by the government, the course costs £750 per person, while some Business Schools offer bursaries and reduced fees.
