Hello
Can anyone help me with what (if any) help is available for my business:
I run Chitty Hire (ChittyHire.com) supplying theatres with the set and props (including two authentic cars) for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and I rent a unit in Aston Clinton where all this is stored. As "storage and distribution" it isn't a rated building, but it still costs £750 pcm and I'm struggling to find this (indeed have run out of money now). With theatres closed for the foreseeable future I would appreciate some (any) assistance in meeting the rent! None of the government funding applies, alas.
Thanks
Rob Alderton

Unfortunately I'm not eligible for this as I do some SEIS money - although nowhere near enough to live on, let alone cover the business premises.
Businesses that have been heavily impacted as a result of the COVID-19 lockdown and have not been able to get support through the grant scheme for rated properties, can apply for the Additional Restrictions Grant.
The grant is now open to applicants, closing 31st January 2021. This will be delivered by Buckinghamshire Council.
To be eligible:
• your business must have experienced a reduction in income of 30% or more in December 2020 versus the same period in the previous year.
You will not be eligible if:
• you are already eligible for the LRSG - i.e. you occupy a business rates paying premises in a sector which has been forced to close by the lockdown
or
• you are a self-employed individual already receiving support through the government’s Self Employment Income Support Scheme
You can apply for this scheme here - https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/coronavirus/coronavirus-business-support-hub/coronavirus-business-grants/additional-restrictions-grant
and any queries can be sent directly to the council via this email - discretionaryfund@buckinghamshire.gov.uk
