Peter Butt is the managing director of a 33-year-old family-run bathroom installation business called Adroit Services Partnership, based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

He turned to Buckinghamshire Business First’s Growth Advice Service due to the uncertainty of the pandemic in 2020, wanting to learn what other businesses were doing to cope. 

The Growth Advice Service helped Peter to identify roadblocks to the growth of the business whilst always keeping at the forefront of their operations one of their important company values: quality first. They followed advice from their Buckinghamshire Business First Growth Adviser and employed an Installation Manager to help improve their workforce, which led to the development of The Adroit Academy where employees are taught how to do things the Adroit way.

Peter told Buckinghamshire Business First that the Growth Advice Service allowed for the sharing of concerns in a confidential environment, taught him the importance of knowing when and how to work on your business, not in your business. It also gave him confidence to look at every area of the business, so each part is the best it can be.
