Ingredients for success: health, fitness & effective work practices

The IoD Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes branch are proud to be partnering with David Lloyd Clubs in 2022 and on Thursday 17th February we will be hosting our first event at David Lloyd Beaconsfield.

This session will be introduced with a welcome from Nigel Robinson, the Branch Chair, and Mary Jones, General Manager of David Lloyd Beaconsfield. This will be followed by a talk on Fitness & Nutrition by David Lloyd’s staff and ‘New Ways of Working – gaining competitive advantage’ by Steve Couch, the founder of Coaching Together.

You will also have an opportunity to enjoy networking with IoD members and non-members over some delicious breakfast refreshments and receive a tour of the facilities.

David Lloyd will be offering a 2-week membership of the club via a prize draw on the day of the event. This membership excludes the spa facilities, but all the other facilities will be available to the winner.

‘New Ways of Working – gaining competitive advantage’

What is the wider business impact of new working practices on you and your customers?

Discussions about new working practices such as hybrid working have largely focused on where people work.

There is much more that needs to be considered for effective working including:

1) The perspectives of customers/clients.

2) The evolving needs of your business.

3) The impact of new ways of working on how teams work.

4) Understanding quick and slow responses; and inclusion and diversity.

Steve will lead discussions on the impact of new working practices in each of these business-critical areas and will also offer practical techniques and tips to accelerate organisational understanding of the potential consequences of change and the opportunities for competitive advantage.
