Mental Health in the Workplace

Mental Health in the Workplace

A Member to Member Workshop hosted by Nick Wilson from Wilsons Life

In support of Mental Health Awareness Week, Nick Wilson will be holding a workshop which addresses mental health in the workplace, how to recognise it, what can help to minimise it, suggested support and training for your supervisors, line managers and management as well as those identified to have certain challenges in mental health.

Who is this event aimed at?

Employers and/or the management so that they can learn what needs to be implemented and can compare it with what they already have in place, as there maybe a variation of ideas and best practice which would assist them in the future.

About Nick Wilson

The presenter will be Nick Wilson, who is an Armed Forces Veteran that served 14 years in the Army and who faces a personal, daily battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - PTSD. This means that he is well aware of the stigma around mental health, the concerns that those struggling with it will have about coming forward to their employer and more importantly, what procedures need to be implemented in order to support the individual, whilst still gaining a return on your investment in them and benefiting from their skills.

Regardless of his personal battles, Nick started his own Chauffeur company on leaving the Army and went on to make it a successful business, creating a 1/4 of a £million turnover by year 3, before selling it at the end of 2016 so he can concentrate on supporting Veterans and assisting companies on the personal development of their workforce.
