Strategic growth – A pragmatic taster session - July 2023

Strategic growth – A pragmatic taster session - July 2023

A Member to Member Workshop hosted by Bosun Consulting

Who should attend?

This workshop is for SME leaders who are looking to build a simple strategic framework that will drive decision-making and growth for their business over the next 2-3 years

A business can grow, stagnate or even go backwards. Given that you want to grow your business, you can do this either by being lucky or you can take proactive control of your future.

Why attend?

Assuming the latter, taking control of the future means having a business strategy and a roadmap.

Whether your business is a start-up or if you are ‘plateauing’ or facing a strategic crossroads with multiple options on how to move forwards, you need to have a strategy; a decision-making framework that helps you make the best choices to drive growth and structure your internal and external business activities.

What will be covered?

This full morning session provides a simple and pragmatic approach to basic strategy formulation – generating a framework that can be incorporated into day-to-day business thinking.

The session will explore case studies and get you to start your own journey of strategy formulation with initial mapping of areas such as:

  • Strategic vision and values: what are we trying to achieve; how do want to be perceived; Strategic IN and OUT
  • Products and Markets; Who buys our services and why? Mapping and maintaining competitive edge; Scalability vs diversification – growth and profitability
  • Implementation – Current/future business – stop, start, maintain; change projects; measurement
  • EXIT strategy – funding, investment and divestment; maximize value – performance vs plan and aligned reporting; management maturity; brand equity
