Building Ambition - Talent Showcase in Construction April 2023

Are you looking to meet the talent of the future for your construction business?

Join us for an event where Buckinghamshire College Group students searching for jobs in construction will get the opportunity to meet businesses, share what they have to offer, whilst also developing their interview skills and finding out more about the opportunities available.

The format of the event

The event will include presentations and a Q&A followed by practice interviews between employers and students. We are looking for construction businesses, with vacancies, who can take part in multiple short practice interviews with students during the event.  

Key activities

  • Employer Presentations – Employer presentations providing an update of the future in Construction, green skills, technologies and overview of their sub-sector and range of occupations.
  • Career discussions (Pre-interviews) – students to book (in advance) for up to 3 specific jobs.
  • Exhibition of Companies so students can engage to discuss career opportunities and applications.

Agenda

9.15am - Welcome and introduction for Aylesbury students with sector update and panel discussion
“What does the future look like for jobs in the construction industry?”   
11.00am - 12.30pm - The interviews with businesses
11.00am - Welcome and introduction with Wycombe students
 with sector update and panel discussion
“What does the future look like for jobs in the construction industry?” 
12.30 – 13.30 – Rolling lunch for employers with Exhibition/Stands open to all students
1.30pm - 3.00pm - The interviews with businesses
