What’s new in GDPR?

A new legal framework, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to govern data protection is going to be introduced, which will affect all businesses. The event will provide members with an insight into the scale of change, how it will affect them and some practical steps they might want to consider.

SME business owners, senior managers and those who are involved in handling data protection issues.

About Jonathan Lane

Jonathan Lane is a founder of SR Consulting, a Buckinghamshire based business consultancy, which supports local SMEs to operate efficiently and achieve their goals. He has considerable experience in running organisations that rely on the processing of personal data. He is bringing together for this event a collaboration of Buckinghamshire businesses that can provide expert advice and support to help local SMEs prepare for the challenges that will face them from GDPR, including from legal, cyber security and marketing aspects.


GDPR will come into force on 25th May 2018 affecting all businesses that hold and process personal data be that of employees or customers. The new regulation puts the rights of the individual at the forefront with everyone having a right to know what information is being held on them and for what purpose. Failure to comply could result in significant fines.
