Part-Time Tech Instructor – Inspire the Next Generation (South Buckinghamshire)

Part-time Tech Instructor needed to deliver fun, hands-on coding and tech sessions to primary children across South Bucks schools

Responsibilities

The RoleYou’ll deliver pre-prepared, structured technology sessions designed to be fun, inclusive and confidence-building. Sessions typically involve coding, robotics, 3D design and digital creativity, delivered in a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging, age-appropriate tech lessons to groups of up to 16 primary-aged children
  • Creating a positive, well-managed classroom atmosphere
  • Encouraging curiosity, creativity and problem-solving through technology
  • Managing attendance, safeguarding procedures and end-of-session handovers
  • Representing ComputerXplorers professionally to schools, parents and venues

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Experience teaching or leading groups of children in a classroom or structured setting
  • Strong classroom management and facilitation skills
  • Own transport (essential for travel to schools and venues across South Bucks)
  • Confidence building rapport with children and communicating professionally with parents and staff
  • Reliable, punctual and organised
  • A genuine interest in inspiring children through learning tech skills

Desirable:

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Familiarity with coding, robotics, 3D design or digital creativity (training provided)
  • Experience with safeguarding procedures
  • DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Flexibility to support sessions across after-school, breakfast or holiday clubs
