Part-time Tech Instructor needed to deliver fun, hands-on coding and tech sessions to primary children across South Bucks schools
Responsibilities
The RoleYou’ll deliver pre-prepared, structured technology sessions designed to be fun, inclusive and confidence-building. Sessions typically involve coding, robotics, 3D design and digital creativity, delivered in a supportive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging, age-appropriate tech lessons to groups of up to 16 primary-aged children
- Creating a positive, well-managed classroom atmosphere
- Encouraging curiosity, creativity and problem-solving through technology
- Managing attendance, safeguarding procedures and end-of-session handovers
- Representing ComputerXplorers professionally to schools, parents and venues

Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience teaching or leading groups of children in a classroom or structured setting
- Strong classroom management and facilitation skills
- Own transport (essential for travel to schools and venues across South Bucks)
- Confidence building rapport with children and communicating professionally with parents and staff
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- A genuine interest in inspiring children through learning tech skills
Desirable:
Desirable (but not essential):
- Familiarity with coding, robotics, 3D design or digital creativity (training provided)
- Experience with safeguarding procedures
- DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Flexibility to support sessions across after-school, breakfast or holiday clubs
