Programmes Officer (Grants)

Join us as a Programmes Officer to manage grants and loans, support applicants, improve systems, and distribute vital funding.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Programmes Officer to join our team to help us make sure that generously donated funds get right to the heart of our community, where they are most needed and can do the maximum amount of good.

This is a multi-faceted role, working collaboratively with our other Programmes Officers to deliver grant and loans programmes throughout the year. You will have your own programmes to lead on, and will be involved at all stages of the process, right from early development, through promotion of funds to groups, due diligence and assessment of the applications, supporting our volunteer independent decision makers and following up with groups at the end of their funding period.

You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the role also calls for good technical skills as you will be involved in the development of systems to enable efficient administration of the applications.

We are happy to offer a hybrid working pattern, with some time in the office and some home working each week, with more time in the office whilst you are learning the role.

Application Process

Please take a minute to read our Job Description and Person Specification before applying. Then submit your CV and a covering letter outlining how your knowledge and skills are a good fit for this role. Please consider each element of the person specification with reference to your experience, skill, and knowledge gained in employment, voluntary work, studying, or a personal setting.
