Sponsor in the Spotlight

Mix96 – media sponsors, and sponsors of the Excellence in Customer Service award

Max Hailey, Managing Director, Mix96

“Mix 96 is once again delighted to be supporting the Buckinghamshire Business Awards. Broadcasting from studios in the centre of Aylesbury since 1994, Mix 96 is the soundtrack to life in Buckinghamshire. As a local business it’s really important to give something back to the community which is why we are sponsoring the Excellence in Customer Service award.

"It has been a real privilege to be able to visit forward thinking and progressive companies across the county and see how they put the customer experience at the core of their organisation. Selecting the finalists has been a huge challenge but the three finalists deserve to be applauded for their commitment to their customers.”

Bucks & MK Sport Awards

Buckinghamshire’s sporting version of the Oscars are set to reward the unsung heroes of the local sports scene. Nominations opened on May 17th for the 12th annual Bucks & MK Sport Awards – the biggest event of its kind in the area. And now organisers are urging the community to take part by naming the people or groups they believe should win a prize.

The prestigious awards ceremony, to be held this year on December 1st at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre, celebrates the people and organisations who make grass-roots sport happen in Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes.

Of particular note to Buckinghamshire’s businesses will be the Active Workplace of the Year category, sponsored by MK Council and won last year by Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.

Last year’s ceremony was attended by almost 300 people, with keynote speaker Winter Olympic gold medallist Amy William MBE. Rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave became the first inductee into the Bucks and Milton Keynes Sporting Hall of Fame - an award to celebrate the county’s great elite level athletes.

The award categories are: Active Workplace of the Year; Club of the Year; Project of the Year; Primary School of the Year; Secondary School of the Year; Volunteer of the Year; Young Leader of the Year; Community Coach of the Year; Performance Coach of the Year; and the Terry Cook Unsung Hero of the Year.
