Launched by BT Group in partnership with apprenticeship training provider Babington, the fund aims to make it easier for organisations to recruit apprentices and invest in workforce development through fully funded apprenticeship training. BT Group has committed up to £4 million over four years through its apprenticeship levy transfer programme, helping organisations access funding that might otherwise go unused.

The funding can be used to:

• Recruit new apprentices
• Upskill existing employees through apprenticeship programmes
• Access a wide range of apprenticeship standards, including digital, leadership, sales, marketing, procurement and other professional disciplines

The scheme is designed to support organisations that want to develop talent, strengthen skills and create new opportunities for growth, but may not have the resources to fund apprenticeship training themselves. Through the programme, successful applicants can receive support with the application process and be connected with suitable training providers.

BT Group says the fund is intended to help businesses build a more skilled workforce while supporting economic growth and social mobility across the UK. The initiative particularly focuses on making apprenticeship opportunities more accessible to smaller organisations and helping them invest in the skills they need for the future.
