EU funding to support rural tourism businesses

Funding is available to support projects that encourage more tourists to visit, to stay longer and to spend more money in rural Bucks.

Rural tourism businesses can claim grant funding under the RDPE Growth Programme for:

  • rural tourism infrastructure
  • food processing
  • business development

What the grants are for

The grants will help fund the costs of capital expenditure on tourism infrastructure. The aim is to support projects that will encourage more tourists to come, to stay longer and to spend more money in rural areas.

What level of funding is available?

There is £500,000 of tourism funding for capital and infrastructure projects available. Applications need to be between £50,000 and £150,000.

The funding is available now for all rural areas in Buckinghamshire. The deadline for expressions of interest is January 31st 2018.

Rural funding with the LEADER Programme

The LEADER Programme offers grants of up to £50,000 to rural businesses in the Chilterns and Clay Vales areas.

LEADER is designed to support rural businesses to create jobs and support the rural economy, in particular, supporting an increase in farm productivity and diversification, increasing forestry productivity, supporting cultural and heritage activity, the provision of rural services and rural tourism.
