Buckinghamshire manufacturers are invited to learn more at free Made Smarter event
Manufacturers across Buckinghamshire are being invited to step into the factory of the future at a landmark event hosted by Made Smarter at Cranfield University and discover how even small digital steps can unlock major gains in productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness.
The free, one-day conference on Thursday 20th November will give SME manufacturers a hands-on look at how digital technology is reshaping UK industry, from robotics and automation to data, analytics, sensors, and virtual reality. The agenda features keynotes, live demonstrations, and interactive sessions designed to equip attendees with practical tools and insights for their own digital journey.
The event - Made Smarter: Factories of the Future - is a collaboration between the government-backed Made Smarter Adoption programmes in the East and South East regions that are already helping hundreds of SME manufacturers improve efficiency and resilience through grants for technology projects, leadership training, funded internships and digital skills support.
Buckinghamshire Business First will be in attendance alongside other regional and national business support organisations, including South Mids Growth Hub, and Herts Growth Hub, showcasing the full spectrum of support available to manufacturers looking to adopt digital technology.
Buckinghamshire manufacturers are among the first in the South East to begin transforming their businesses through the Made Smarter programme, so come along to this free event to learn how to join them. Cranfield University’s central location makes the event easily accessible for manufacturers across Buckinghamshire, home to a strong base of engineering, electronics, and precision manufacturing businesses.
Following successful pilot years, Made Smarter East of England and Made Smarter South East are now preparing for year two of delivery. The UK Government has confirmed its continued commitment to the Made Smarter Adoption programme in England, ensuring more manufacturers can access expert advice, leadership development, and match-funded technology grants to drive growth and innovation.
Manufacturers can register for free on the Eventbrite page for Made Smarter: Factories of the Future.
