What’s more, the average range of electric cars now far surpasses 100 miles per charge, with rapid charging providing a full charge in only 20-30 minutes!
Show me the money! How much can I save?
The UK Government Plug-In Vehicle Grant (OLEV) has recently changed. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) are no longer eligible for discounts. Happily, SMEs in Buckinghamshire still qualify for a grant of up to £2,500 towards the purchase price, via the Low Carbon Workspaces programme.
Pure electric or range-extender vehicles would still qualify for both grants, meaning a potential £6,000 off the price! That’s a £3,500 OLEV grant, plus up to £2,500 from Low Carbon Workspaces. Grants also cover vans, motorbikes and mopeds!
