Looking for something different to do in Buckinghamshire this summer?

How about a yurt retreat, the UK-first Nets Kingdom at Go Ape, or glamping at Wingbury Park? Go on – you know you want to!

We all know that there are plenty of fun and amazing things to do in Buckinghamshire, so we thought we’d highlight a few things that you may not have heard of before, or just needed a reminder of before you jumped in the car and zoomed off for a fun day out!

Glamping at Wingbury Park

Situated on the edge of Wingbury Park, a family-run farm, luxury en-suite pods look out on breathtaking views. The pods can house four people at a time, and come equipped with a seated dining area that converts into a double bed, sofas, en-suite bathroom, fully fitted kitchen, a large decked area outside with a brick BBQ and steel fire pit – and a hand-made wood-fired hot tub! The amazing experience runs all the way from the beginning of your stay - with all guests receiving a welcome pack on arrival with milk, orange juice, tea, coffee, bread & cereals - through to the breathtaking views at night.

If this sounds phenomenal, you won’t be surprised to hear that Wingbury Park won the Best Glamping Award for Bucks and Oxon at the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2017.

You can choose from the handmade Turkmen yurt or the newer tabernacle-style Badger’s Bower. Retro-style caravans are also available for those requiring a little more space. Chilterns Yurt Retreat is surrounded by a haven for wildlife, including birds, dragonflies, moorhens, deer and owls, and the retreat also offers aromatherapy, remedial massage, reiki and reflexology, meaning there truly is something for all tastes.

So if you’d like to sleep with the sound of water bubbling out at the foot of the Chiltern Hills while partaking in the full yurt experience, check out the Chiltern Yurt Retreat.
