The Bucks Skills Show would not be the life-changing event that it is without the support of its vital partners and sponsors.
With the big event approaching on March 4th and 5th - and exhibition spaces still available - we spoke to Buckinghamshire College Group, Bucks Skills Show Partner, to hear what it means to them to support the event.
About Buckinghamshire College Group:
"Buckinghamshire College Group is a vibrant and diverse further education provider offering technical, vocational, and professional skills training to more than 4,500 learners each year. With campuses in Aylesbury, Wycombe, and Amersham, the College supports students aged 16–18 alongside a substantial cohort of adult learners and apprentices. Buckinghamshire College Group continues to invest in its facilities and curriculum, ensuring learners develop the skills, confidence, and experience required for modern employment.
"The College is currently planning a new, purpose-built campus in the centre of High Wycombe which will bring together the provision delivered at its existing Amersham and Wycombe sites. This development represents an exciting opportunity to expand its offer and create a modern, collaborative learning environment at the heart of the community."
What does it mean to be a Partner of the Bucks Skills Show?
"For Buckinghamshire College Group, being a Partner of the Bucks Skills Show is a meaningful demonstration of its commitment to helping young people explore their future pathways and understand the breadth of opportunities available to them. The partnership reflects a shared mission between the College and the Bucks Skills Hub to raise aspirations, improve access to skills, and support local industry by connecting education directly with employers.
"To the College, partnering with the Skills Show means playing an active role in shaping the talent pipeline across Buckinghamshire, ensuring that students have the chance to engage with businesses, learn about real career journeys, and discover the industries that drive the local economy. It also strengthens the College’s collaboration with employers, enabling ongoing dialogue about workforce needs, training opportunities, and the development of future apprenticeships."
What is your advice for employers attending the Skills Show?
"For employers, the Skills Show offers a unique chance to inspire the next generation of talent and highlight the exciting career opportunities available within their sector. We encourage employers to present their industry in a way that is engaging and accessible to young people, whether through demonstrations, conversations, or sharing their own career journeys. Approaching the event with enthusiasm helps students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring roles they may not have encountered before.
"The College also encourages employers to use the event to build relationships with education providers, particularly around apprenticeships, training, and the development of sector-specific skills that support business growth. The Skills Show is a space where collaboration can begin, and many productive partnerships emerge from these early conversations."
What are you looking forward to as an exhibitor?
"Each year, the Bucks Skills Show is a highlight for staff and students at Buckinghamshire College Group, and this year is no exception. The College is particularly looking forward to engaging with thousands of young people who attend the event to explore their next steps after school. Being an exhibitor provides the perfect opportunity to bring learning to life through interactive demonstrations and conversations that showcase the variety of programmes the College offers, from creative and digital courses to construction, health, business, and more. Staff value the chance to answer questions directly, discuss what college life is really like, and help students gain the clarity they need when choosing a future pathway. The event is also an excellent space for connecting with employers and sharing updates about the College’s future, including the new High Wycombe campus."
Final thoughts?
"Buckinghamshire College Group is proud to support an event that brings students, educators, and employers together in such a dynamic and purposeful way. The College looks forward to another successful Bucks Skills Show and to continuing its close partnership with the Bucks Skills Hub. Together, we share a commitment to helping young people discover their passions, understand the pathways available to them, and take confident steps towards meaningful, skilled careers."
