New Quarterly Journal to Celebrate the Best of Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns

A new premium quarterly publication dedicated to celebrating the businesses, people, places and stories of Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns will launch on 16 November 2026.

The Buckinghamshire & Chilterns Journal will be a beautifully produced luxury coffee-table publication, combining engaging local editorial with a carefully selected portfolio of trusted businesses and brands.

The Winter launch edition will be followed by Spring, Summer and Autumn issues, creating a year-round showcase for everything that makes Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns such a special place to live, work and visit. Published by independent local publisher The Foxy Deer Media Group, the Journal joins an established portfolio that includes Metroland Life, now celebrating its tenth year, and Bedfordshire Life, which has been published for five years. The publishing team has more than 20 years of experience working within the local media industry.

Alongside its premium printed edition, the Journal will also be published as an interactive digital magazine, allowing readers to click, watch, explore and engage directly with the businesses featured. Advertising packages will also include website editorial, PR and social media promotion, providing businesses with a complete portfolio of exposure across print and digital media.

Copies will be distributed through selected hotels, restaurants, visitor attractions, independent businesses and premium venues across Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns. Participating businesses will also be able to receive copies for their own offices, reception areas and client meeting spaces.

Tina Reading, Editor of The Buckinghamshire & Chilterns Journal, said:

“We genuinely care about the area in which we live and work. This is not simply another advertising publication. We want to create something beautiful, informative and lasting that people will choose to pick up, read and keep.

“The Journal will celebrate the character of Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns while helping exceptional local businesses tell their stories, build trust and connect with new customers.

We are an independent publisher and believe strongly in working alongside the businesses we feature. If a company invests in us, we will invest our time, creativity and experience in helping that business get the greatest possible value from its involvement.”

The launch edition will feature a mix of local heritage, beautiful homes, interiors, dining, travel, culture, lifestyle, independent businesses and seasonal inspiration.

Businesses are now being invited to apply for inclusion in the Winter launch issue, with a limited number of premium advertising and editorial placements available.

Commitments for the launch edition are required by the end of September, with completed artwork needed by the 16th October.
