We’ve done it again – Gold CSR Accreditation!

Buckinghamshire Business First is proud to announce that we’ve been awarded Gold CSR Accreditation!

This prestigious recognition, awarded by CSR-A and valid for the next three years, reflects our continued commitment and achievements across the four key pillars of Corporate Social Responsibility:

  • Environment
  • Community
  • Workplace
  • Philanthropy

This is the third time in a row that we have achieved the highest possible mark, meaning by the end of this next accreditation period, we would have been among the gold-standard for CSR achievements for almost a decade!

What is CSR Accreditation?

Good question! Achieving CSR Accreditation is recognition that an organisation has good Environmental and Social Responsibility policies that are embedded into their business operations and strategy.

Achieving accreditation helps you integrate social, environmental, ethical, human rights and consumer concerns into a truly sustainable framework, helping you set better goals, make better decisions, and improve relationships. You can use your CSR Accreditation to address ESG compliance, progress on the path to Net Zero, build a culture that empowers employees to do environmental and social good, attract new talent, win tenders, and enhance brand reputation.

What this means to us

At Buckinghamshire Business First, we believe in collaborative leadership, endeavouring to ‘walk the talk’. When we encourage businesses to be sustainable, develop inclusive workforces, and inspire the next generation, it’s because we as an organisation also strive to do these things, knowing the benefits they bring.

From ensuring business resilience through Cyber Essentials accreditation, to supporting local charities and communities through membership of the Heart of Bucks Community Investor scheme, and our Climate Commitment to reach Net Zero, we hope to shine a light on a path that some have already taken, but many have not.

Special event: Learn how to become CSR Accredited

We are partnering with CSR-A on a special event on September 18th in High Wycombe to equip you with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration to make a meaningful difference - within your organisation and beyond.

The event - 'Sustainability, Simplified: Your Guide to Doing Good Business (and doing it well)' - is free to attend and will feature a panel of CSR Accredited organisations who will explain how embedding purpose into their operations has led to financial growth and social impact.

If you want clear, practical guidance that will help turn good intentions into measurable impacts, and help you communicate the great work you're already doing, this is a must-attend event!
