Buckinghamshire LSIP Summit 2023

Buckinghamshire LSIP Summit 2023

The discussion of Buckinghamshire's Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) presents an ideal opportunity to delve into the profound impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on jobs, skills, and the workplace.

Join us at this free event to hear first-hand from the team at Buckinghamshire Business First and representatives from key employers, training providers and stakeholders, about:

  • the recommendations in the LSIP & what it means for Buckinghamshire
  • the next steps to bring about positive change
  • how AI technologies are reshaping industries, enhancing productivity and driving innovation
  • the impact of AI on future jobs in the county

The Future of Jobs & the Impact of AI in the Workplace

As well as exploring the impact of the LSIP on local businesses, the LSIP Summit will also highlight the exciting future of AI and Chat GPT, which have the potential to revolutionise communication, collaboration and productivity in the workplace.

Saad Ehsan, Research Manager at Buckinghamshire LEP, will provide an overview of AI and highlight some of the implications for jobs in Buckinghamshire.

A panel of experts from Buckinghamshire's Engineering, Film & TV, Health and Care, and Construction sectors will discuss how future roles in the county may be impacted, and you can put your questions to them.

Why attend?

Because the future is now!

Whether you have been involved in the whole LSIP process or just part of it, or want to learn more about how AI will affect the future of work, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Plus, the conference will be followed by a networking lunch where you can discuss all that you have just heard!

Background

Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) are the government’s blueprint for reshaping the technical skills system to better meet the needs of employers. LSIPs will provide an agreed set of actionable priorities that employers, providers, and stakeholders in a local area can get behind to drive change.

Since January 2023 Buckinghamshire Business First has been meeting with employers in the priority industry sectors to establish the specific skills priorities for Buckinghamshire which will form the basis of the LSIP. These priorities have been set through a rigorous process of identifying priority sectors and cross sector skills themes, like digital, net zero and work readiness.
