Responsibilities

Buckinghamshire College Group a looking to recruit an innovative Marketing Executive who will focus on Campaigns, Content & Communications. The Marketing Executive is pivotal in promoting the College’s programmes, courses and brand to students, parents, employers and other stakeholders.

This is a key role within a busy Marketing department and you will be required to have an understanding of content marketing across different channels as well as experience of organising advertising, marketing and promotional activity.

As a Marketing Executive the successful candidate will:

  • Support the implementation of the College’s Marketing Strategy to build the College reputation for high quality technical skills and training.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns, content and communications which will enhance the College’s reputation and drive student recruitment.

Person Specification

Essential:

Formal Qualification -

  • Degree in Media, Communication, Marketing or related
  • Professional Qualification in Marketing e.g. CIM
  • Maths and English qualification at level 2 or higher

Knowledge :

  • Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, communication strategies and approaches
  • Knowledge of Admissions/Recruitment processes
  • Knowledge of school/college procedures
  • An understanding of, and demonstrable commitment to, Safeguarding Children and Young People (Every Child Matters) and Vulnerable Adults

Experience: 

  1. Extensive experience in a similar role within a Marketing department
  2. Experience in writing press releases and liaising with the media.
  3. Proven experience in creating engaging copy and content for promotion purposes
  4. Proven experience in editing photo and video resources
  5. Experience using Content Management Systems e.g. WordPress, Joomla.
  6. Experience using social media management systems e.g. Hootsuite, Agorapulse
  7. Some experience with SEO and using Google Analytics

Skills: 

  • Excellent communicator ( both written & verbal)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with a range and level of people
  • Knowledge of and experience of working with video and photo editing software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of working with a content management system such as WordPress or Joomla
