Minibus Driver

Buckinghamshire College Group are looking to recruit part time, term time only Minibus Driver.

Responsibilities

Buckinghamshire College Group are looking to recruit part time, term time only Minibus Driver, to join our estates team. Based at our Amersham Campus, the Minibus drivers support our students getting to and from college. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Hold a valid driving licence with D1 Category. 
  •  Will be responsible for the safety, comfort and welfare of all passengers on board the minibus. 
  • Will To undertake daily and weekly vehicle checks, and to carry out basic maintenance and report any vehicle defects, faults, incidents and accidents. 
  • Ensure the secure transmission of mail and parcels, between campuses on a daily basis.

Person Specification

Essential:

Formal Qualification

  • Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence with D1 category
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GSCE or equivalent) or willing to work towards

Knowledge

  • Good local knowledge of routes
  • Good knowledge of timetables from other providers

Experience

  • Proven experience or working in a similar role
  • An understanding of, and demonstrable commitment to, Safeguarding Children and Young People (Every Child Matters) and Vulnerable Adults

Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • Able to work in a College environment liaising as necessary with students and all levels of staff.
  • Ability to use full ICT facilities

  • Ability to demonstrate values and behaviours suitable to work with children and young people
  • Demonstrable commitment to Equality & Diversity, Child Protection Safeguarding and Prevent showing a desire to challenge inequality and promote diversity and adhere to College Policies and Procedures.

  • First Aider or willing to undertake First-Aid training.
